California Consumer Privacy Act Disclosure
Work Truck Direct understands that your data is of the utmost importance. We are committed to securing the data we gather from third party sources and most importantly the data from our customers directly with extreme vigilance and care. AP is currently compliant with all current legislation and regulations.
This California Consumer Privacy Act Disclosure (“CCPA Disclosure”) explains the privacy rights of California residents under the CCPA and how they can exercise those rights. This CCPA Disclosure applies solely to California residents and supplements all other privacy policies applicable to AP services that you use.
SECTION 1 – WHAT ARE MY DATA RIGHTS?
As a client or consumer of Work Truck Direct you are entitled to the following:
- The right to request the disclosure data collection and any sales practice that is in connection with your data and personal information.
- The right to request a copy of the specific personal information collected about you within the past 12 months
- The right to have personal data deleted (with exceptions)
- The right to request your data not be sold to third parties
- The right not to be discriminated against because you may have exercised any of the above mentioned rights.
SECTION 2 – HOW DO I MAKE REQUESTS ABOUT MY DATA?

If AP receives a request for personal data, a request for deletion of personal data, or an opt-out of data collection, AP will comply with the request according to current and applicable regulations within 45 business days of when AP’s Privacy Team receives the request. All submissions of data requests, deletion, or opt-outs will be verified by our Privacy Team. This team will contact the original submitter of the requests to verify their identity as the owner of the consumer data. In the event that our team is not able properly validate the identity of the requester the original request may be denied.
SECTION 3 – WHAT INFORMATION DO YOU COLLECT?
AP gathers data in our normal course of business all of which is housed securely within our network infrastructure through private as well as third party database providers. Over the years we have collected many points of data from clients, business partners and third parties:
- Name
- Aliases
- Address
- Federal Tax ID
- Social Security Number
- Internet Protocol Addresses
- Social Network Names and Aliases
- Email address
- Phone numbers
- Insurance Policy numbers
- Bank account information
- Driver License information
- Browsing history and interaction with AP owned domains and digital marketing collateral
- Consumer logins for our own Customer Portal (we do not hold consumer passwords)
SECTION 4 – WHAT DO YOU DO WITH MY INFORMATION?
The purpose of using this data is ultimately to provide better products and services for our customers and clients. However here is a list of possible purposes for the data that AP has acquired:
- Auditing transactions that the consumer has entered into
- Counting ad impressions to unique visitors
- Verifying position and quality of ad impressions
- Auditing compliance
- Detecting security incidents
- Protecting against malicious, deceptive, fraudulent, or illegal activity and prosecuting those responsible for those activities
- Sharing or transferring data to contracted business partners for comprehensive service offerings
- Debugging to identify and repair errors
- Creating new feature
- Short-term transient use
- Performing services
- Providing customer service
- Processing or fulfilling orders or transactions
- Verifying customer information
- Processing payments
- Providing financing
- Marketing and advertising
- Analytics
- Undertaking internal research for technical development and demonstration
- Participation in surveys and contests
SECTION 5 – WHAT ARE YOUR DATA SOURCES?
Over the past years AP has acquired consumer data through numerous sources. Regardless of source we treat all data equally and in accordance with all current regulations. Here is a list of the sources where we obtain our consumer data:
- Information submitted by a consumer
- Social networks
- Surveys
- Tracking pixels
- The observation and tracking of activities by the website over, such as by the use of cookies
- Data resellers
- Business Partner
- Trade Associations
- Public data sources
